


Michael Foley

Michael Foley, originally from Charlestown, County Mayo, Ireland, lived and worked in Galway, Dublin and London, England before immigrating to Canada in 1990. He grew up on a small farm in the village of Bushfield. His music background included sessions around Mayo County where Michael along withhis twin brother and three sisters would entertain on the pub circuit. His music style is influenced by the new Irish Progressive Movement of the 1980's by such bands as The Moving Hearts, Planskey, DeDannan and The Horslips. Michael has labored as a farmer, carpenter, certified welder and a musician. He now runs a successful business in the recycling industry and practices his new skills as an AZ driver. He loves to travel and during the summer months in Canada, you will find him power boating on Lake Simcoe.
